Re: My Mosaic

oh dear @Bow

Quite a few unexpected things happening.

I hope you can keep the same pdoc. It's so hard to get used to one, takes so much time and for it to change constantly is so hard. Hearing you hon 💕

I agree with @Jynx about the art group. It's not your responsibility to arrange what you do. You are there as a participant, not a worker.

I hope D is ok, has her temp gone down this afternoon?

@Bow @Jynx spoke to my pdoc this morning, just by phone. Would have rather in person but I guess it's better than nothing. Been 5 long weeks. Still another 3 until my psych is back. I really wish I could go to bed but have to pick up S from work later on.

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow wow... with no actual communication with you? Yikes. Yeah definitely keep that boundary firm methinks!!

Sounds really rough, and I bet the heat isn't helping!! Got ya spiky mat handy, or you wee grounding rock? Hugs to ya 🫂🫂

@Snowie ach so much waiting!! Does that mean you're going entirely without support for the next little while?

Honestly I reckon I could go a nap too right now.... stupid world with all its stupid demands 🙃

Re: My Mosaic

@Jynx I've been 5 weeks already entirely without support. The phone call from the pdoc was the first support for a long time. By the time I see my psych in Feb, it will have been over two months of nothing from her. From fortnightly appointments to nothing has been hard.

I have an appt. with the pdoc in 3 weeks time.

Re: My Mosaic

@Snowie  I actually like this @Snowie @a little bit. She tends to cover all areas, including my ED. She knows what she needs to ask in relation to it. A lot of pdocs tend to just ignore it.

D seems to be a bit better this arvo thankfully. Just coughing a bit.

@Jynx there was zero communication with me. I remember when it first started happening I was practicing conversations in my head… as I do…. Like did I give someone the impression this was something I wanted to do? Even a conversation with my old SW cause maybe I have her the impression that I wanted to do this? Like sorry if that’s the impression I gave. Did I say that and not remember it?

urgh

@Snowie aorry you jave had no support for so long. That’s really rough.

Re: My Mosaic

@Snowie Oh my goodness!! You're a trooper! Kudos for holding on despite the destabilising circumstances! And a single phone call is so little too, was it at least somewhat helpful?

@Bow maybe a miscommunication somewhere along the line, also sensing they've made some presumptions about your desire and capacity... Maybe you can send a very definitive message about what you are and aren't willing to provide in terms of time and labour?

Re: My Mosaic

I hope you can continue to see her @Bow especially if she covers all areas with you. So hard to find good one's and just want to hold onto them when we do.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you go in taking your meds overseas and through customs? Did you use webster packs or take them in their boxes? Did you have a letter from your doctor?

Sorry for all the questions

Re: My Mosaic

I didn't have a choice @Jynx There was no alternate.

I do like my psych and feel comfortable with her but am questioning whether to continue with her. She is spending less time in the office so more and more appointments are happening through telehealth. I would much rather in person. I struggle to communicate through telehealth.

It helped talking to pdoc. At least I could download onto him. Not sure if he expected it but oh well. He wasn't happy about my psych either. I've agreed to continue monthly ect for now, to try and not be admitted.

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah I think I will mention it to my old SW @Jynx cause she was suppose to be around today but got held up else where. She covers 3 officers! But I sent her a text and said I’d really love to come in and see her and catch up when she is next in our office. She said yes! Absolutely.

Re: My Mosaic

Ah yes @Snowie  cause you’re going to Japan! I’m actually starting to put together a budget for Japan. I think that will be our next Disneyland stop! Many years away though!

so meds, yes mine were Webster packed. I did discuss with the Webster packing lady a way to reduce my packs down cause I have 2 Webster packs every week. So we managed to reduce it down to just the 1 and then I got a letter from my pdoc approving that change.
then also a letter from my pdoc listing all my medication.

Carry all your medication in your carry on bag- hate for it to go missing! And that’s why I wanted to reduce my Webster packs down cause they take up so much space’

despite going to 2 different countries I never had to fill in a customs declaration like you do when you return to aus. Weird. But when you come back to aus, make sure you declare your medication even though you took it out of aus and are bringing it back. Cause a lot of psych meds are controlled. The officer we got just asked if it was medication and let us through.
