Awww. Poor things.. it must be so stressful for those with farms. @Snowie
Even though you live 'rural', it still seems like a pretty busy place, right?

Pls take care @Snowie
I’m not coping with my house been empty after both sons moved out. Helping younger one move tomorrow.
house is so empty.
glad you’re all ready for Christmas. I’m the same just need to pick up fish and buy fresh fruit on Tuesday. Presents all wrapped under the tree. Food list organised and delegated some to kids to bring.

Yes @tyme Our town can get quite busy especially on weekends and holidays. A lot of people come to pick their own fruit. We have lots of fruit farms around us. I will say the fruit direct from the farms is so much tastier than store brought, and lasts longer too.
oh @BlueBay I'm so sorry to hear that hon, the house would defiantly feel empty.
Even though it is great to see your kids become such amazing young adults, it's still hard to cope with when they leave home. Just know that you have done an amazing job in making them the people they are today.
It's good that others are bringing food xmas day. At least it's not all left up to you.

Hi @Snowie , sorry to read back and see that you're struggling 😥 and that your psych and pdoc will be away for 3 and 4 weeks 😣
It's amazing you're hosting Christmas at your house! I hope it goes well and you're OK 🤞
I've had to take time off work due to burnout. My last burnout in 2020-1 lasted 8 months, so I'm a bit anxious.
Sending care ❤

Thanks @NatureLover
No doubt you are anxious if last time you had 8 months off. I guess all you can do is see how you go. Your mental and physical health come first.
I hope you have a good Christmas (if you celebrate it) or just a good time off.
Sending some 💗

Did something yesterday I shouldn't have. Had to call and get some help.
I guess at least I am home.
Feel so selfish, especially at this time of year, when everyone is meant to be at our house for Xmas day. I just want things to be over with.
Managed to get up today and take Mum to her Doctors appt. Went ok, had to make another appt. for next week to get a Mental Health Care plan for her. It just doesn't stop. Had my Aunty (mums sister) ring me about mum. Said she can help if needed. How can she do that, she lives 4 hr drive away.

I'm glad that you were able to call and get that help @Snowie
This is a pretty stressful time of year and you're doing the best you can. Just a few more days and Christmas will be behind you.
Did you ask you aunt what sort of help she was thinking? It's great that she's offering help, but with living so far away it would be good to discuss what helping looks like for her

I almost ruined everything @Ru-bee. My brain keeps switching between who cares and thankful I didn't.
She's didn't say and I didn't ask. I just said I'll let her know how our next specialist appt. goes.

But you didn't @Snowie. There's so much else going on right now, maybe it's important to just try to focus on what did happen, rather than what could have for the time being. Perhaps set a goal to reach out sooner if those feelings come up again, if you feel able.
Do you have much on for the day today after taking your mum to her appointment? Have you had some time to relax?

The feelings are still there @Ru-bee I wish they would magically go away.
Still have to clean the main bathroom and living room for Xmas day. Will hopefully find the motivation to do that soon. I want to do it today so tomorrow can be a rest day before the chaos.
At the moment just laying on the couch.
