Re: Good Morning!

Does that make it a good car because an ex cop car??

Re: Good Morning!

@PeppyPatti thank you for your question.

The most important people that are keeping me alive are my children. They are both under 10.

How do I do life? Honestly these days is a lot of thinking about my kids not having me around.  I ruminate too much and I suffer too much for people that are fine not having me in their life e.g. my sister.

When my husband had his breakdown my parents were a great support. But now they are aging and I don't think they are fond of him even though he has done a lot for them. I think they tolerate him. My mum specially can be really harsh and she navigates more towards my sister because she feels she owes her more (first born). My sister has a hold on my mum. Even though I have always been the one caring and looking out for my parents.  So I don't feel like I can reach out to them as much as I did before. So I am navigating life emotionally on my own. This forum and all its caring members have allowed me to tell my story without judgement or finger pointing. My therapist helps but that has a limit too. I need to heal 😢...it is a hard and long journey.  I have to be the rock and the peace at home. It's exhausting and these days I think about giving up and just drifting to sleep to not wake up but the thought of my children stop me everyday from actioning. I really hope the day comes when I feel like my old self. I keep it together for them and to support my husband which often feels like the shadow of who he used to be.

And I hope my kids will want me in their lives when they grow up. I really hope so. They are all I truly have in this world.

Re: Good Morning!

well, wide rims, sports suspension, bash plate under engine, limited slip dif , could use auto trans as manual like years before it was standard in holdens, possibly has higher output motor  same as SS , not on car tag, but neither was the right trans or dif (?) are the urban legends true that they disguised cop cars in factory so would not be sabotaged .. @PeppyPatti

Re: Good Morning!

Oh darling lady,

Your important

You are truly you and so individual.....

Your parents are from another generation ----

It's not their fault but perhaps  just manipulated.

Tomorrow morning do you think, if your able to just remember something that you used to love doing ??

This is a bit embarrassing but I used to love watching Love Actually the movie.

And collecting tiny ceramic things ...

Do you think you can remember something you loved doing ??

My sons came back to me !!

Re: Good Morning!

Sounds like a really delicious meal @Glisten. Where do you go to buy all the ingredients? I miss meals with similar beautiful highlights like that! I used to like going to yum cha, the ingredients were so dainty and precise. Nowadays the budget does not allow eating out. Its such a shame the world has come to this with recessions. Good on you for spoiling yourself though with a DIY brightly colored and flavoured plate! We all must remember ourselves and indulge a bit with an unusual bent from time to time. Well done!

Re: Good Morning!

@Former-Member All the edible herbs and flowers are grown at the Men’s Shed.

Free for anyone who wants them.

I hope your day is filled with happiness and a lovely walk. Hugs G

Re: Good Morning!

Thanks @Glisten that shed place sounds magical! They do obviously put on a show for people. Its amazing what group initiatives can do to lend something worthwhile to people like us. I'm very grateful to a couple of psych rehab centres I used to attend - they were full of nice people with special things going on. Its a shame the governments closed them down.

The MI budget has always been known as the poor cousin of health spending. I think with more people getting MI they might do something somehow but the hospital system here in Victoria is changing under the Allan government making it more efficient. Don't know if the MI will get anything out of it though.

All I can say is just enjoy your life, love. Get out there and do what makes you happy and take in what life has to offer. We all deserve happiness even if its hard to come by at certain stages in life, but there are always slivers of hope and good things. The world in some parts can be a benevolent place, when we actively seek it out

Re: Good Morning!

@Former-Member you are 💯% correct.

Hospitals, healthcare, mental health and education are seen as financial bottomless pits by governments that don’t progress good public policy,

innovation, and public sector education.

If governments keep doing the same, they will get the same results.

Society changes and government legislation and policies need to change with the needs of the citizens.

Citizens also need to understand when they are not adjusting to a changing society.

For example five years ago had an elderly gentleman who wanted a local road speed limit reduced. “Because someone is going to have an accident.”

There were no reports of accidents on that road in the past five years.

He actually wanted the speed limit reduced because he couldn’t drive at that speed limit safely.
