@rav3n and all forumites here tonight. Happy Monday!
@Oaktree @PeppiPatty I’m so happy you’ve each decided to go back and study! Well done! I’m sure you’ll both do well in your academic endeavours and I wish you the best of luck🍀! I’m still debating on going back to study dementia care - I had experience with this last year on a TAFE placement in Leisure and Health and I really enjoyed it so that’s why I’m undecided if I’ll study it in case I fail to complete the course due to self sabotage on my behalf. If I do, it’ll be part time due to the demands of the course.
@MDT I’m glad you enjoyed your holiday to the Gold Coast with your partner. I’m counting down til June when I get to escape Melbourne for 10 days on a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef again which includes a day in Port Douglas which I haven’t been to. I’ll also have a few days in Sydney either side of the cruise ship holiday.
@TAB Thanks for keeping me posted on your adventures. My sister didn’t want to visit me in my new country town and only did so as she gets free travel as part of her workplace and as an opportunity to tell her customers what the town is like where I’m now living. I hope things improve for you and you can get work after your study last year!
@Shaz51 I hope your health improves with your diabetes issues! Sending hugs your way!
As for me, I’ve been absent from the forums as I’ve had personal issues to deal with, including mental health issues which I’m struggling to manage. I think I know now what it’s like to live in a country town as my housemate has been struggling with physical health conditions since November and it hasn’t improved since we moved in December to the country town. The local hospital can’t really help her and she’s had to be treated in a metropolitan hospital over the last 4 weeks on and off. She’s also had several incidents of having to call for an ambulance due to her health issues, including low sugar levels as part of her diabetes condition. Her mental health has also been implicated due to her physical health which became a medical emergency on Friday night requiring an ambulance and hospital treatment which she struggled to tell me until yesterday morning when she came home. She’s now back in hospital with suspected sepsis- another ambulance visit earlier tonight- so I’m really worried about her. I’ve got the tennis on tv - Alex Di Minaur is leading at the moment in the first set - and I’ve been knitting a blanket whilst watching the summer of tennis since it started out in late December. Knitting beanies and kids jumpers has also helped me cope with things. I’ve been delaying getting mental health help as I need to be there for my housemate and keep hoping things improve for me and thinking I can handle it by myself but I do know I’ll crash eventually like I always do. The only good news is the mental health team in this area is better than the team I had in my old metropolitan town (they visited my housemate today at home after her mental health episode on Friday night) so I just may have to reach out and call them. It’s just a matter of getting the courage up to make that next step to make the phone call for help.
Thanks for reading this.
Take care and stay safe!

Thankyou @Judi9877
How lovely to read your message. Iv spent about too many hours at Officeworks today. I was researching the cheapest apple computer to buy, write it down - took a very long time to do that. Well, I stayed then to start printing out wedding photos for family.
Iv found a refurbished computer over half price less that office works
Iv booked in for Friday. I'm really gonna give this a go. Studying. Last week, my ex-husband sent me an IQ test and said it's ok if you get a very low mark because your talent is in other places. I got 115 with a high mark in abstract thinking .........
Definately not remembering
