Hey @Till23 ,
Thank you for sharing a little about yourself.
It's good to hear that you can get yourself in to team sport. That's pretty awesome.

Hello ππ»
Pretty sure I have borderline personality disorder - Iβve just ruined another great opportunity in my life, and hurt some amazing people in the process, with my horrible behaviour. Behaviour that doesnβt feel wrong at the time, but looking back I am mortified.
50years old and suddenly old enough to accept and own that I am the asshole in my life.
So much shame and regret.
But hopeful, because this is a completely new awareness, and maybe there is a chance I can be βfixedβ.
Little rock.

Hello and welcome @Littlerock
Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself here. Sometimes such self reflection can be pretty confronting, but it can also be empowering and a first step towards some positive change.
Good on you for taking another step in signing up here and reaching out. None of these are easy things to do, and they show real strength

So, It has been confirmed last week........I belong to The neurodivergent community π
I have ADHD officially.
I was adivsed I can do to a Dr and get Meds if I choose that path way. The Dr stated for me to go back to the clinic and get them to do all the test and Med adjusment first.
I called the clinic and they will look at my case and someone may offer me help in due time.
Yesterday before going to the Dr, I was hopeful, great I am going to start this journey and now back in the limbo with a knowledge that I have to wait much much longer.
It has been month I don't even want to work any more and spend most of my none working hours in bed waisting time on my phone.
I am tired of this now and needed to vent! LOL

Hey @miniACDC ,
Thanks for sharing and trusting us enough to 'vent' π
You're part of my neurospicy group now - welcome!
Whether you choose to take meds is entirely up to you. Some members swear by it, some prefer not to take it, and some take it when they need it.
Maybe it's okay to spend non-working hours on your phone? We all deserve some down time.
When you said someone will offer you 'help', what does that mean?

Hey @Littlerock ,
Welcome to the forums! It was refreshing reading your post - just so matter of fact "I am the asshole in my life".
Put it this way, it took me many years to get to this point, and hence it took me a lot longer to get the support I needed - I'm a borderline. I'm not saying you have BPD, but for me, it was an amazing journey - hard, but worth it.
As hard as it may be, recovery from BPD is very possible. It's just about finding the 'right' therapy to help you through.
Let me guess, social interactions are a struggle? Emotional regulation goes down the toilet and is practically non-existent?
Once again, Welcome!

Hey @tyme
Thanks for your reply.
The clinic whom diagniosed me, sent me an email even before I had my full diagnoses saying they can book me in for intial prescrption and Dr visit, they just won't keep me there on the long run. so when I called them this morning, the Admin person said oh we need to consider your case and we may offer you help.............Sounded very helpful ! NOT π
yesterday
Oh! I wonder it if means because it's not 'complicated' to prescribe you meds? Or is that what they do with all clients? @miniACDC
What I mean complicated is that some people have co-morbid conditions which can make it very complicated.
From what it sounds like, maybe that clinic is only for assessments, and then you find someone to follow up with your meds, etc?
I don't know.
Whatever it is, I can see that it can be annoying!
All the best with it.

Hey @tyme
I didn't get that impression. They actually promot their own services as they charge as a private provider.
At the same time they mentioned I can go to a Dr and get the Dr to prescribe and adjust my dozage.
yesterday
Fair enough @miniACDC .
Yes, if doctors have the authority signed, they can prescribe the meds. It's cheaper for you that way π
Anyway, let's what and see what they say.
