Re: not coping

its really painful @Former-Member and no gels like voltarent etc work on it. it doesnt provide any releif. the only thing thats been providing releif is the strong pain meds

my foots up on the chair- im on the recliner chair with the foot rest popped out

Re: not coping

Sounds like excruciating pain @outlander! I think you should elevate the foot also, prop it up on a chair or pillow.

I'm sorry you had to witness what happened to your horse, I really am. It wouldn't have been nice at all to watch.

Re: not coping

Re: not coping

@oulander , I have aches and pains too. Sometimes bad sometimes not sometimes I don't notice. Perhaps more distracting in order? .. works for me , when brain is idle it just looks for pains that if I were walking or had company or doing something nice doubt I'd notice if that makes sense. Take charge of your body maybe .. ok by sneaky distractions 😀.. can work ..

Re: not coping

Can you get in touch with your dr if the pain continues to get worse @outlander??

Re: not coping

Yes I was crippled for two months in November December last year, voltaren wouldn't work.I have a antiinflammatory called Naproxen, and they help.if I'm on my feet too long my left leg balloons too.We have similar symptoms even though they are different problems.

The pain in the feet is different to any other pain in the body I reckon, especially because it is weight bearing.

Re: not coping

@outlander may I tell you something to help you as you grieve?
GOD created your horse, GOD sent him/her for you & you alone to care for & love. Why? Because GOD & GOD alone is the only creator of life, HE knew that you were & are the perfect one to be the best for this amazing masterpiece from GOD. I know & believe the hard decision you made was totally GODS will for your precious loved one.
I know when I have walked the exact same path that you are walking at the moment with one of my precious little ones. GOD directed my steps your horse is now out of pain & totally at peace full of love for you @outlander this is not imagination this I know to be real. I know many will not agree with me & they have free will & do not have to. I prayed for you & your precious horse & I have been sitting here taking in all the support & your grief & pain & frustration & I have been so emotionally invested I stay silent no more. Tell your horse every day how much you love him/her say how much you miss it & if you had to do it all over again you would just because of the great respect & love you have in your heart for it. I would also tell it thank you for loving you back & how it lives forever in you & you can NEVER have the real memories die because we are all just passing through this life to a better life & that you believe you will see him/her when GOD decides animals are very spiritual @outlander they much more than you or I could ever imagine. You & you alone were chosen to be the one to love every animal you have had, & ever will have. Please believe me this is not crazing talk . Its the truth you did not abandon your horse or give it to someone else & your heart is broken, in time it will heal stay strong for your animal family they all are in your life for you to love & I know 100% that you do.
My Love Always
