Re: not coping

I don't watch things so I don't have any recommendations @outlander  Sorry!

I wonder if you can use your time to scroll through your phone and delete the photos you don't need? That is a good past time.

As for colouring and diamond, art, that's pretty awesome.

Re: not coping

I’ve done a lot of clearing out etc in prep for surgery @tyme so theres not much for me to do in that space

Re: not coping

You certainly had a BIG surgery! How long before you can drive? @outlander

Re: not coping

at this stage at least 7-10 days @tyme but it could be longer pending how the sites are healing. i see my surgeon next week so ill know a little bit more then. the general rule however is im not suppose to drive until the sutures on the top layer of skin have been removed as the seatbelt will rub and risk the chance of them opening on 3 of the sites

Re: not coping

7-10 days is pretty okay. I was thinking months or something! And yes, I was thinking the seat belt and sutures are NOT a good combo! @outlander

Re: not coping

its about a 6 week recovery @tyme but the time i can drive isnt that long. i cant bend, lift anything heavy etc for at least 6 weeks.
i would absolutely go crazy if i couldnt drive for 6 weeks. i think im allowed back to work at week 3 pending how things are going BUT light duties only and i have to see how i go as i may still be pretty tender so getting in and out of the car, trying to carry walking frames, cleaning might still be abit of a challange. its abit of a play it by each day after 2-3 weeks and just not pushing it otherwise the internal sutures can open and that will mean they have to go back in and redo it all over again.

Re: not coping

Please take it easy. Knowing you, you'll be up and about and working in no time! @outlander

Re: not coping

id like to try and go for abit of a walk tomorrow @tyme
its still a struggle to stand for to long but i think a wander might be nice. the only problem is where i am its quite hilly so i had planned to drive to a street thats abit more flat but it is hard cause i cant drive!
i also tried to start my car today and the battery is completely dead so im taking that as a sign that if i want to walk to just do the little bit thats flat before the hill. its probably about 300 metres from my driveway to the bottom of the hill so might be a good start

Re: not coping

hey @Emelia8
how are you today?

Re: not coping

How many days haven't you used the car? @outlander
