Re: My special place

Some people just don't realise that words hurt. Sometimes your opinion or "expertise" is not welcome

Re: My special place

anyone around?

Re: My special place

I’m not really around @Snowie as I need to meet with someone so dropping some love off to you.

I’ll talk later.

afternoons been a lil rough? wanna grab a cuppa with me?

Re: My special place

Hey @Snowie  im sorry I miss your posts. This new format for the forums makes it difficult for me to keep up.

your post from last night, about just getting through the year…. My SW actually mentioned that meme to me today. It is very true.

Re: My special place

Thanks @Eve7 💗

@rav3n just mum thinking she knows everything.

Go told that I should be back working by now, that psych's don't help anyway or I would already be better. That all I do is sit there all day, that I never clean my house. There is dust everywhere and my hubby has his papers all over the house.

She just thinks she can say whatever she wants. Has no compassion at all, never has.

I shouldn't be surprised, I expect little out of her.

Took prn again and crawled to the couch.

Re: My special place

@Bow I know I shouldn't care. People only ever post the good things about their lives. Never would they post something not going well.

It's mostly on facebook or as I call it bragbook

I try not to look at it much

Re: My special place

that must've been so invalidating and frustrating to hear from her @Snowie it's okay to feel hurt by those comments... they are hurtful after all. i think sometimes a tiny part of us still holds a sliver of hope that one day they'll understand. hugs to you 💜

is your couch your go-to cosy safe space?

Re: My special place

I really don't think she understands a thing about mental health/illness @rav3n

I am 100% sure she has never googled C-PTSD.

She did go to a psych once. Had one session with them and never went back saying it didn't help.

My bed is my safe space. I think I will end up in their very soon.

The thoughts have started up again.

Re: My special place

yeah i think certain people have pretty 'fixed' mindset about mental health, and it's soooo exhausting trying to convince them otherwise. @Snowie even if your mum's view of mental health and support is different, you still deserve to be treated with respect.

my bed's my safe space too. have you had dinner yet?
