I haven’t taken the trip, but when in Alice springs visiting friends, they arranged to take me on board when it was stopped in town to have a look through- they both worked various jobs on there. It’s a pretty cool train and the trip from SA to NT would be amazing.

How long is the trip??? It sounds so interesting @Bow @Eve7 ! 

I thought the Ghan was some mountains or somthing like that. I'd never have thought it was a train..

Oh, and by the way, I'm leaving Monday early early morning. I'll be back after two weeks... or two and a half by the time I'm back on the forums. 

I don't think I can access forums overseas. Did you try @Bow when you were overseas?

nope no access @tyme Australian only. And if you get heaps of email notifications turn that off before ya go! I had to email the team while I was overseas and asked if they could turn off my email notification cause I was getting heaps and it was draining my phone and watch!

I don't turn on my notifications for the forums. Hence at this point I have 100+ notifications on the little bell symbol at the top of the page which I haven't opened yet. Hence I sometimes miss posts or I respond a lot later because I don't open those notifications until I have finished all my work @Bow 

So no, I don't have email notifications lol.

Tonight I am in a queen sized bed in a plush hotel and it’s lovely. My train cabin was comfy but quite compact @Bow so the trip was enough.

I had off train experiences at Marla to see the sun rise, Alice Springs and Katherine. There was a mixture of people most lovely. The food and drinks are included in your fare as were the excursions and this hotel.

Its really a pretty good deal. @tyme

Missed y'all, how's it going? 

Had a bit of a hectic week - had to take one of my partners in for emergency surgery! They are okay and will make a full recovery, but I had to take the time to rest and let myself process after the 30 or so hours of enduring various hospital sensory nightmares!! I am just making my way through my notifications and taking everything slow tonight, but would love to hear how everyone has been chugging along this week!
