Re: My Mosaic

@Bow saaaame omg my electrical bill is gonna be a nightmare 🙃

Do you think we could build like a giant snow machine and just give ourselves a snow day? Could we go hang out with the penguins for a while?

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow woahhh you made it to state cross country!? that's so cool! i liked doing 100m sprint and hurdles for athletics, but never made it to state level or anything. i recently tried to get into running but i get so puffed out after 5-10 mins, i have no idea how people run for hours... is there a breathing trick!?

niceee adding other language versions to your collection! i wonder how many different versions exist out there.

yep definitely relate to re-reading a bunch of times! i recently heard about bionic reading which i think was made to help people with ADHD focus on words better by bolding some letters. but i guess the bionic fonts works wonders for me too- what usually would take me 1 minute to read, i finished in like 30 seconds. those books sound interesting! how'd you come across meeting the woman from power of 2!? that's pretty cool!! so you're more into the non-fiction side?

Re: My Mosaic

Yep @rav3n  3 times I think it was for state cross country. I use to run a little bit a few years ago. Just slowly increasing the length of time you run. I was most definitely breathless at times. I enjoyed it though. It felt good. Now I just walk fast on the treadmill!

oh there are hundreds out there!

my friend use to work with the lady. She’s written heaps of books! But yeah went into their work one day and met her. Lovely lady.

yeah I like to read biography type books. Never really got into anything else

Re: My Mosaic

Nah doesn’t really have a name @Jynx  just building blocks or building bricks usually.  I’ve got a few builds that aren’t available elsewhere. And then I’ve got some builds that Lego have done but are heaps cheaper!

Content/trigger warning
I will always feel like I was punished for trying to help myself and doing what I needed in that moment. I will always believe that it was my own stupidity that put me in that place. I was just overwhelmed and needed to walk and calm down. But it was late, it was black out. And we all know that you don’t do that. Stupid little girl. It happened in that park down the road. It didn’t matter how many times you said no. How many times you asked them to stop. Or how loud you screamed until your ears rang or your eyes cried an ocean so deep. None of that matter. None of it made a difference. He did it. It happened. There’s no changing that. Broken. Damaged. Destroyed.

I still feel sick. My body my brain makes me remember.

But that wasn’t the end. The weeks went by and I continue to pay the consequences of someone else’s actions. Something I didn’t want. Something I didn’t plan. But as quick as it was there it quickly disappeared. What the heck was I to feel? What the heck was I to think? I still remember. I still feel. Do you grieve something so bad? Something you didn’t even want? Confused.

Re: My Mosaic

hey @Bow

i really hate that you've had to experience that, i'm so sorry. i wish i had the power to make those awful memories disappear. whatever you feel, whether that's confusion, grief, pain, etc., they are all valid. those are your emotions, and you're allowed to feel whatever comes to you. experiencing trauma often means that those feelings pop up stronger at various points in our lives, and sometimes it also means all those negative thoughts come rushing in. please know that that what has happened to you, is NOT your fault. you are NOT to blame for someone else's evil actions. you deserved to be treated with respect, and it really fkn sucks that you were disrespected on a whole different level. you are NOT defined by this.

i wish i had the right words to make you feel better. instead i'll sit by your side and remind you that we're here for you and we care about you heaps. 💙

(p.s. i've just had a TW to your post)
