Today didn't start well. Trying not to take prn. I know I'll need them tonight.

I did wash my hair so taking that as a win!

just swapped over to Stan and am watching a movie called escape room. 

sorry today didn’t start so well. But washing your hair is a great accomplishment. I had a shower this morning and so did D! She’s hard to get in the shower but her body is starting to change and she needs it. 

I went and wandered the shops for a bit this morning, got my nails done and then went to a second hand bookshop to see if I could find an old book to turn into some art. Found one. And also found 2 more books to add to my collection! 

you going out tonight? For hubby’s birthday? Or is it Sunday?

It's hard when they start changing @Bow Things start happening and they need to think about hygiene and showering more.

Gee they grow up quickly.

Second hand book shops are the best. We have one in town too. So many hidden treasures in them. You'll certainly have to find a place for the book shelf if you are adding to your collection!

I haven't seen that movie. Will have to put it on my list.

We have my SIL's 50th Birthday tonight. It is a surprise party. She thinks she is just going out to tea with family but her hubby has organised it. So glad it isn't mine, I hate surprises, especially with people involved! Means a night of small talk, smiling and pretending to be happy 🤦‍♀️

Hubby's b'day is tomorrow. Just going to have tea at home with the kids and my mum. That I can handle.

Yep @Snowie  and it’s so hard explaining it to her. She’s only 9. And I’ve been hearing from a lot of friends with kids that kids are changing and growing so much earlier now.  I was nearly 13 when I got my first period.

I put my book case somewhere and put all my books on it… 46! But I’m going to have to move it, it’s not stable. Will have to attach it to the wall. 

I love second hand bookshop too! We went into so many while we were travelling. This book shop is in a little plaza and at the entry is a little cafe where people sit and smoke. Had to walk through the wall of smoke, it was disgusting. And after 10mins of browsing the books I felt sick and had a headache from the cigarette smoke…. You could smell it throughout the arcade 😞

They do grow up so much quicker both mentally and physically @Bow They also seem to know a lot more younger on too.

D was 13 when she got hers. A lot later than some of her friends.

Had to get hubby to have several talks with S about showering and actually using soap and deo!!

Our shop is in a little miners cottage which is heritage listed. Argh, I would be put off by the smoke smell too. Can't stand the smell of it either. I'm surprised they are allowed to smoke where you sit and eat/drink.

Small talk is hard. I won't know many people either. At least I have hubby and the kids by my side. Just stick close to them.

It went ok thanks @Bow Managed the small talk. Just stuck close to hubby. PRN helped quite a bit.

So tired when I got home yet had a crappy night's sleep.

im surviving by keeping myself busy. Have had to move a few things around in my room to make space for my new bookshelf. And most of that involved moving Lego!

Keeping busy does help at times. It's ok too if all you want to do is hide in bed.
