I was booked to go there in 2020 @Snowie but covid saw that trip cancelled and I just haven’t been well enough for a long haul trip since. S2 went there when he was living in Switzerland, just popped over for a weekend as you do. He was very moved by it.

Thats a shame about 2020 @Eve7 Covid ruined so much. I really hope you are able to get there hon.
I remember both kids doing home schooling. They would log on everyday to school. Luckily they were both old enough that I didn't have to sit there with them.
Just living in Switzerland would have been amazing for S2. Would be great just to pop into another country for the weekend. If only we could do it here!

S2 did 6 months of uni in Switzerland with a field trip to South Africa @Snowie He packed a lot of living into his life.
We can go to NZ for a weekend but I don’t think I’d justify that amount of money for a weekend.

S2 has done a lot of living @Eve7 Those experiences they have will be lasting memories for their life. Hopefully he does more.
That's true, we could go to New Zealand for a weekend. But it would cost a lot of money. Perhaps I need to try and get to every state in Aus first!!

Unfortunately S2 is no longer alive @Snowie He passed away last April.
Ive been to every state plus NT and ACT. People say you should see Australia first but I disagree and think you should do the long haul travel first and Australia when you retire and have access to Medicare and understand the language!

I'm sorry @Eve7 You would have told me before, but my short term memory isn't great. I think some of it has to do with the amount of ECT I have had.
Does it affect your memory at all?
I agree with you. See the world first. The only place I haven't been to in Aus is NT.

ECT has affected my memory a lot @Snowie I really struggle with short term memory and lots of simple memories. I forgot my neighbour’s name recently and I’ve known her for years. That made me feel so stupid. Luckily I can still pass the dementia test and can count backwards from 100 by 7’s!

I struggle with memory too @Eve7 Unfortunately I remember things I wish I didn't.
Often asking H what my neighbours name is. I always remember his name but forget hers and their kids.
Better go and pick up S from work.
Thanks for the company tonight. I'm not sure if you realise how much you help me with our chats. I came on here really upset and you have helped me calm down. Thank you so much hon 💕💕
