Re: Morning has broken

That sounds like fun going to the mountain during summer @Snowie  I went with some athletes once to an altitude training came and it was great. There are so many athletes who train there in the summer and it was like “spot the Olympian”!

They have a couple of groups on tomorrow but I’ll probably stay away as I just get triggered and there’s a few more people in here now.

Re: Morning has broken

The lodge where we are members get athletes staying in the summer @Eve7. No sure if they are Olympians or not!! H does all the bookings so he's always getting messages from people wanting to stay in the summer.

No doubt there are more in there now, especially since the xmas period is over.

Sometimes groups can be like that. At least you will have the cricket to watch! I don't think it will last 5 days this time.

Re: Morning has broken

The elite athletes I know are going to the AIS this year @Snowie

I don't think the test will last 5 days either but it's still been exciting and then we can watch the tennis.

Thanks for chatting earlier. You are a great person hun.

Re: Morning has broken

Thats exciting about the athletes @Eve7

What are you doing tonight?

At the moment we are watching the cricket. S is working so have to pick him up later.

Re: Morning has broken

Probably going to bed and watching cricket @Snowie or try and read something.

Re: Morning has broken

Do you read much @Eve7? Any specific kind of books you like?

I used to read so much. I have about 10 books that I've brought but haven't read, so have set myself the goal of reading them this year.

Re: Morning has broken

I used to read more @Snowie but now I limit myself to a book on each Uni break which is about 5-6 per year. I keep a record of what I read each year to stay on track.

I mainly read biographies and I like war novels. How about you? What do you read?

Re: Morning has broken

OMG @Eve7 we are alike!!

I love biographies and autobiographies. At least 95% would be them. My favourite topic is war novels, especially about WW2. But I will pretty much read any out there. I was a teenager when I read Diary of Anne Frank. I think that's when I really started to like novels about war.

I keep record of what I read too. I find it hard to give books away so have a lot in my study!

Re: Morning has broken

I read the Diary of Anne Frank when I was a teenager too @Snowie ! I’ve read a lot of holocaust biographies from WW2 as well.

I also keep a record of movies I see so I don’t forget them AND I find it hard to give away books lol

Re: Morning has broken

There are so many books about WW2 @Eve7. There are so many I haven't read yet.

When H and I go to Europe (when the kids are a bit older), one of the main places I want to visit is the Auschwitz-Birkenau Camp. It has been a wish of mine to go there for such a long time.
