Re: Share a cuppa?

@CatMom

Hey CatMom,

Here’s my last message, sorry I’m a bit of a n00b here! 😆😳

Hi CatMom,

I love the name 😀 We have a cat living with us and she’s a tabby. She’s quite a lazy and funny cat!

I usually like to read crime/mysteries but now  I’m re-reading the Harry Potter books. They are light and quirky at first although they do get darker towards to the end of the series!

Yeah e-books are good like that. I find that with Spotify for music and podcasts.

I’ve been reading some non fiction books on mental health such as “Show me where it hurts : Living with an invisible illness” by Kylie Maslen.

I try and just read a chapter when I read as I work 4 days a week so I think that’s a good enough and consistent goal.

I’ve only been eating better for the last 3 weeks. I’ll still have a  “cheat day or meal”. I used to eat too much junk food and fast food. It was definitely a vice. I just never felt good after I ate it. It was just emotional eating or getting cravings that made me think I needed it. It’s just a mirage now, hopefully I can continue this.

I substitute a protein bar instead of a regular chocolate bar and I drink more non-alcoholic beer these days than regular beer. Plus both are quite accessible at most supermarkets.

Lawn bowls is good because I’m not great at social events. Going to dinner with a bunch of people I don’t know is probably one of my biggest fears. But at bowls I can focus on the actual game instead of pretending to give a damn when people boast about their house/job/car etc or preach politics…

Anyway, it was nice talking to you CatMom 😀

p.s. That’s cool you’re going to the Babe event in Sydney, all the best with that! I live about out an hour north of Sydney. I used to go to Sydney for Heavy Metal concerts but I’m a bit more boring these days!

Re: Share a cuppa?

@P0larBear I finally found the message, it wasn't on you it was definitely me.  The stresses and anxiety around my exam were very high so my brain was not in working order.

I'm currently reading all about psychological testing for Uni for pleasure I'm reading the "Bellarose" series by Tate James and Jaymine Eve they are the masterminds behind BABE.

Please forgive me if I'm MIA here it is only because I am catching up with uni @Thyme, @P0larBear.

I hope things are going well for you.  Remember to take care of yourself.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Shaz51 cuppa sounds great. I'm going to have a double shot macchiato ( us bloody Melbournians ).

What can I make for you 💜🌹💜 ?

Happy Thursday to you as well.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Could be just a downer after the other day @Shaz51 - I feel for him. I'm on a downer myself atm after pushing myself pretty hard for a couple of weeks. But fair enough he might be finding things harder  and might also be worrying about working if/when you get DSP - you seem to always work as a team.

So much going on for you both.

Re: Share a cuppa?

jeepers   @Shaz51   You do a good cup my friend.   Mine is  a 44gallon drum 'rusted'  with a handle welded on.   Mate ,   wish I new what to say about  the B P  thing.  It must be touchy like juggling eggs,  while dancing on nails.    Cant be good,  and I really know almost nothing about.  Went to a sane link that showed all these letter abbreviations so I could get a handle on peoples posts.  So many letters with so many  real victims behind them.

I have terrible health,  but really,  I am very lucky that I never change upstairs.  Always looking for a laugh.  bad taste,  bad humour.   The only time I go into the tortoise shell. . .  "pinched that from thyme,  or tidis" . . .  ,   anyway, . . .  is personal attacks or stalking.   and then I'm a runner,  anxiety thing.  lasts a day or so and then I'm a bundle of mischief again

But to be up and down,   happy   sad,   4 seasons in one day,   that would be almost impossible I guess.    any way I'm   rattling on a bit so you'll know I'm here to chat with,   If you need a yarn my friend.      tonys   m  b  1

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi everyone, I've been offline for a little while, but am back.  How are you all?  I've just been to a wonderful concert of Mozart, Schubert, Mendelssohn and a really exciting Grosso figure of Beethoven which made me think his deafness must have influenced his rethinking of music.  He could hear the music in his imagination, but couldn't physically hear much at all, and in the Grosso he's really pushing the boundaries of the instruments and the relationship of each note and dynamic to the next.
