hey @SmilingGecko watching the sunrise is such a lovely way to start the day - i've been meaning to do that too once i've fixed my sleep schedule 😅
haha 'solar gazer' love that! i've walked by a couple 'solar gazers' in the past and its never bothered me so hopefully you can continue to enjoy it judgement-free. the peace of just sitting outside with the sun rays hitting your face, just watching people and animals/insects pass by - i miss that! i haven't enjoyed it properly in these colder seasons but looking forward to it now that the suns peeping out more!

I had a couple of facebook friends who were solar gazers @rav3n one of them a shaman who i briefly knew got eye damage dont know what happened to the other person but she used to take lots of risks doing things like ayuahuasca tourism. Spoke to someone involved with weather and got conflicting reports regarding safety now we have holes in the ozone layer etc. Its risky doing ancient practices now that the world has changed. I had a video by the solar gazer officianado who promoted it. His eyes never got damaged but that was 20 years ago don't know what hes doing now. I think solar gazing attracts both the curious as well as thrill seekers

oh wow, what you mentioned about the ozone layer and changes in our climate/atmosphere makes sense @SmilingGecko the sungazing that existed say 100 years ago versus today would definitely have different impacts. my mum tells me that early morning, right when the sun rises is the best time to catch the sunrays - after that UV keeps getting higher and higher as the day progresses and then finally cools back down by sunset. i don't really 'gaze' at the sun though (to protect my eyes) but i do sit out with as much of my arms/legs/face exposed to the the sunlight. need that vitamin D! also was wondering, what do you mean by sungaze? directly making eye contact with the sun or just simply letting the sunlight hit your face?

ahh i see! @ArraDreaming that's so fair that most your attentions been on the middle one esp with the injury, and its really thoughtful of you to give oldest and youngest a lil more attention now to make up for it. when i was young my mum did that with my sis, she took her out for a little shopping day and treated her, just them two.
oh that stressful that the ambulance struggled to find your home!! does it not show up on google maps/navigation systems?
