Thanks @Queenie
One of the good things about train travel is the social aspect. I am already planning more trips. I dont want to just sight see ... there needs to a little mnore to interest me ... but I am finding that.
Hope you are well.

Train travel has it's own romanticism about it doesn't it @Appleblossom? It isn't so much about the destination but the journey itself... a little like life really (well that's what I am discovering of late).
I love long distance train travel. I once went from Brisbane to Cairns on a train (it takes 24 hours roughly to get there) return. Thank goodness for the onboard showers, toilets, galley (which was like a cafe). I ended up playing Uno with a backpacker headed the same way as me at 3am. Couldn't have done that if I drove myself of flew there. It's about the people you meet, their stories and experiences, which add to your experience. Plus, you get awesome travel tips!

Yes @Queenie and it can be confirming that the human race is not all bad.
It is a big thing for me as .... For a long time (35 years) I was not up to travel for myself.
I felt the responsibility to provide holiday experiences for family, but that was different.
Wow a train with showers ... I have not seen one of those yet .. on my bucket list!

Thanks @outlander I think the mods are busy with the concerns over the netiquette thread.
I am good. I have had a few good days. I am a bit concerned about my boy but have to sit with that.
I was pretty horrified when you told me about your hand. I know you love horses but they can do a bit of damage. Joints are notoriously difficult but you have been pretty cheerful about it. I kept pushing myself when younger and ended up having more permanent injuries. Listen to your body. There is a wisdom in it.
Gently Gently.
