I found out more or less today I won't be getting this role that I wanted. I think it triggered something for me. Because looking back it feels like there really isn't much I could have done differently for the interview, and it still wasn't good enough. It feels like my best wasn't enough, which sucks, and I know that's just life. Not really looking for advice, just needed a space to share it. Thanks for reading.

Hey @PengTing ,
IN the past, when I had interviews, I always went in with the mindset that if the job is for me then it's for me and even if I flunk the interview, I'll still get the job.
And this is the same with the converse. If the job is not for me, then it's not for me because it is not a good fit. Not because I'm a failure, or I'm no good etc.
I don't know if this helps.

I'm going to be interviewing 7 very suitable people for a role but only 1 will get it. If you got an interview then you did well. Having made a lot of hiring decisions and observed other people's decisions I would say don't take it personally if you're not the final pick.

Thanks , it's helpful to hear other peoples perspective. I've seen dealt with it better, through some practises.
