Re: Destiny

Hi @tyme; thanks for everything but I don’t think i can make it without her

Re: Destiny

People may feel they can't go on without someone else, yet it may surprise you how capable and strong you really are @Rockdog .

Allow yourself to let go of the idea that you are doing anything for anyone else but you. You need to do it for YOU so that other things fall into place. Otherwise, we are like puppets on a string. If they are up, we are up. If they are down, we are down.

You are you. Be you. Love you. Let others see YOU.

Maybe this is what the world is waiting for?

Re: Destiny

Hi @tyme ,

Thank you, that is so true. You are right that we can feel like puppets like that. I do still feel that I was being lifted up and had my strings cut. I am feeling like I am not on that track, but can see where I want to go. I was on my way and derailed myself. Now I am five years older. Life leads me down paths I don’t want to go. I just accepted a job doing merchandising in stores. Luckily it is only meant to be 15 hours but I don’t really want to do it. I love doing my volunteer law day. I had a man tell me yesterday I was the most helpful person he had in ages, and I didn’t do anything but try to have compassion. I was trying to be patient about things working and hoping they would. But I just think it should have happened by now. It has been long enough and she had my number if she wanted. Do you think she had feelings from what happened with us? Or was I making it up in my head?

Re: Destiny

hey @Rockdog that's such great feedback to get from someone - being compassionate is a lovely quality to have. i see that you love doing your volunteer law day, is this is a passion you're planning on pursuing long-term?

Re: Destiny

Hi @rav3n,

hope you are well. Thank you, yeah it is now. I wasn’t sure before I had started doing this but now yes. In the legal aid area where you can help people.

Re: Destiny

Hey @tyme ,

how are you going? I know you have told me the answer lots of times. I should just trust it is true

Re: Destiny

hope you're well too @Rockdog 😊

i'm glad you've found your passion in the legal aid area! every experience, including the detours, adds to your growth and understanding.

i see that you're feeling some uncertainty about the person you're missing, not having control of the situation and her choices can be daunting but the good part is you have control over your choices! and focusing on your wellbeing and progress will help prepare you to face any outcome & perhaps create some room for someone new to walk in?

Re: Destiny

Hi @rav3n ,

Thank you anyway. I don’t want anyone else I only want her

Re: Destiny

can i ask why you only want her? @Rockdog all good if you don't want to answer!

i know what you mean, there was this guy that i really liked and i only wanted him too. i know i can't have him but it doesn't stop me from wishing he chose me. i'm still work in progress too.
