Oh @Shaz51 thankyou for understanding.  Good luck with Mr shaz being overenthusiastic. I've been at the other extreme.

My helper just left. We had a lovely walk in a nature reserve then came home and shredded papers.

This week has been a roller coaster but @NatureLover and @Oaktree have helped me start doing a bit each day again.

@NatureLover I'm so sorry you're feeling completely overwhelmed. I've been there but am starting to see a little daylight again.

I told myself I'd "tidy" a few things... somewhere halfway  and neutral between chores and decluttering.  I persevered with just a little each day and found it's gently steering me back onto the path again. My mood/activity tracker app tells me I'm clocking up a 5 day streak which is the best I've done for 6 weeks.

How are you going with your serves of fruit? I'm still enjoying fresh plums, but expect the season will be over soon. I got a punnet of Victorian strawberries on special the other day.

Oh I am so glad to hear that I have helped somebody! I was starting to feel like I was good for nothing. Miscommunications abound and I have been asked by sane to steer clear of a forumite. To me this felt as though I was being blamed. I understand that they are just trying to do damage control. I just try to be kind and supportive. Not sure how it went so pear shaped!
Well done @Dimity for getting a bit done each day, that is a huge achievement. I got my bedroom done and have done very little else since. The whole thing is so overwhelming. I have stuff that represents my life that I don’t want to get rid of but I don’t have many places to put things. I need to do a thorough sort out of the entire house.

Thankyou @Oaktree yes you did help. You also kept me motivated when I first started walking.

You've done brilliantly with your bedroom and I'm glad it's helped set up a sanctuary for you and get ready for your husband's surgery. Other rooms probably won't be as easy but you've proved you can do it.

Thank you @Shaz51  for your kind words and care and support ❤️ You are a treasure.

Aww, thank you for saying that @Dimity , I'm happy to hear ❤️

And I see you do have a shredder 👍

Well done on your 5 day streak 🙂 I liked what you wrote about "somewhere halfway and neutral between chores and decluttering" - I like that,  it's like gently sliding into some easy cluttering 🙂

Thanks for asking about the fruit - I got fruit puree from the supermarket: apple, apple-and-pear and apple-and-strawberry. They are yum and working well.

I am sooo itchy all the time, I've scratched my skin raw - moderator please note, it's not self harm. Thankfully my depression without my therapy light box is manageable. I see my psychologist today so will tell her about it.

Hoping you have a good day today doing decluttering 🙂
