Re: Christmas survival tactics

Hi @tyme Literally found that no one has practical strategies when you are living in an environment that you are dependent and you've realised the carer is the root of your trauma and you are losing it daily because you are taken back to the child inside who wasn't and still not heard. So I have been withdrawing and haven't engaged anything until I can figure out how to do it without losing it. This is all I have so far.

Re: Christmas survival tactics

Have you noticed that a lot of your list is really around boundary setting @Judymay ?

It may be something to focus on. That is, setting healthy boundaries. But yes, I recognise things are VERY different when you are dependent on another.

Have you finished Good Doctor? I was watching it ages ago. Not sure if they have a new season.

Re: Christmas survival tactics

Re: Christmas survival tactics

Hi @tyme

talking if tactics is there any online courses around cbt or dbt or anything to help with managing distress that might be productive to do at this time?

Re: Christmas survival tactics

The ones I know are more live group sessions @Judymay

Have you heard of This way up? https://thiswayup.org.au/

That may be helpful.

Re: Christmas survival tactics

Literally looking online now thanks @tyme

Re: Christmas survival tactics

I believe that if you get a referral, you can access it for free. Don't quote me though. I may be getting mixed up with another service @Judymay

All the best with it.

Also, once, someone mentioned Betwixt? It's a 'game' to support people with their MH.
