24 years old - just been diagnosed with Schizophrenia and feel like I cant work a job anymore. Feeling disabled. Scared... in shock

Hi everyone,

Im new to this forum. I was diagnosed maybe 2 years ago and I am a little worried for my future as my parent is an alcoholic and my father (as my mother) living in other states. I cant move in with them at the moment and am currently in an in-patient hospital. I live in a sharehouse with some nosey housemates but other than that anxiety Im a little stuck.

Im about to apply for a Bachelor in Creative Industries to let out time basically... any help or people who relate?

How do I deal with the possibility of not going back into the work force? I mean im typing this maybe I can become a typist lol.

Hi @annabel_pinkflo

I just wanted to pop by and welcome you to the forums. I'm glad that you've been able to find this space to connect as I know that there will be others who can relate to what you're going through at the moment.

I'm hearing that you don't have that family support to fall back on if needed, what about other supports, professional or maybe even friends?
