I have found that when I am not coping as well as I should, journalling helps a lot. Writing down my feelings and thoughts, knowing that nobody else will ever read them, is liberating. There is a lot we feel and think as carers that we believe we could never share with others. So to write stuff down, no matter how crazy it sounds, is very helpful. I write down what angers me, what grieves me, what frustrates me and what makes me realise that 'good' can sometimes result from the very worst scenarios. I just rave on and feel much better afterwards. Does anyone else journal like this as a form of release?

I think journaling is a great way release frustrations or stresses! Sometimes the simple act of writing things down allows you to consolidate your feelings and can give insight into how to deal with your situation. If I'm particularly stressed or angry about a situation I like to write down all of my frustrations on a piece of paper, then once I'm done I either tear the paper up or burn it as a way of letting go of those frustrations.
I also find that when I'm feeling down or stressed about a situation, journaling the things I'm grateful for about that situation can help me change my perspective and bring some positivity into an otherwise bleak mind-set 🙂

I've been journalling for years! Started with an anonymous blog and as I accepted my position more, used it in treatment for my own mental health issues. I find journalling very theaputic, helps me sort out my thoughts clearly.

Cool idea @Alessandra1992
Why don't you start a new discussion so others can find it? Maybe in "Spending Time with Others" ?
