Hi I am studying the cert IV mental health peer work course. I am actually going to the same Tafe as you just outside of Perth.

Depends on the requirements of your course. Some require you to be working as a peer worker BEFORE applying. Some require you to work in government placements. So yeah, it's worth while looking at what the course requires. @IceSkater

No, not for indigenous people. We are talking about a certificate in peer work, but even then, there are overlaps with the Diploma of counselling which you may be interested in.

Just a quick note, I've had to edit your post to remove the location of your course and it can be identifying... and also, it was clocked by our triage system.

And yes @PeppyPatti , I really really enjoyed the diploma of counselling course.
