I don't think it's your fault for having pent up things. Yes you missed some psych sessions, but you did what you thought was right for you at the time. Thats what most of us would do.

Sure it might have been good to get some things out, but hopefully that can be done at your next appointment.

We have been invited to a neighbours place for Australia Day. After yesterday and all the people, I really don't want to go through it again today. I really should go with H so might just make a brief appearance. Luckily it is only two doors up. Really wanted to spend today cooking lots of meals.

I reassured my psych that I would be there this week @Snowie  hopefully I can get myself there. It’s been a while…

yeah after yesterday I don’t blame you for not really wanting to people today. 

quiet day here. Not really doing much. Gotta go to the shops briefly and get a few things for tomorrow. We are having Christmas with my brother SIL and niece. Super late I know! Mums doing a ham, so we will have ham for days. 

the kittens were hungry this morning. One in particular was laying in the dish while he ate!

Hopefully you can make it to your psych appointment this week @Bow I guess it is just a matter of how you feel on the day.

Just went to the shops myself and brought a whole lot. Gee food is expensive!

I hope tomorrow with your family goes ok hon. Better late than never!

When does D start back at school?

Oh you ain’t wrong there @Snowie ! Food is expensive! And kids eat so much! Thankful I can get most of our groceries from aldi, but still it all adds up. 

D goes back to school on the 6th. So nearly 2 weeks left of holidays. Think we will go and see the new Paddington movie. And then maybe a trip into the city. 

when does son go back? And D what is she doing?

I do most of my shopping at Aldi too @Bow It does work out cheaper. Luckily we have one close to us.

S goes back next Thursday. I'm sad that this is going to be the last time I can say "This is the first day of school for the year". After this year he will be finished. I guess one good thing is no more school fees!!

D goes back to uni mid Feb. They seem to have such a long break. Atm she has just been working lots. 

Is D looking forward to going back?

@Bow aww Groot sounds perfect!! it's hard not to fall in love with them right!? hopefully the idea that there'll be more kitten seasons helps with not wanting to adopt more! 

@Snowie oh wow just read about there being 5 generations in one room! aww love the story about how you met H too, would never have expected it to spark at McDonalds - and that mutual friend seems like a great match-maker!

Hi @rav3n 

Today's been very stressful. Took mum for a tour of a nursing home. Didn't go well. She came home and lost it and of course I was in the firing line. We have another tour booked in tomorrow at another nursing home. Don't think that will go any better. Least I know what to expect afterwards.

She was surprised of how much money they take from her pension. It was a private home, but the public one here is terrible.

Finally got her official assessment back from Dr. Took it to gp and booked appt. for next week for mum. She has to get an ecg form and meds. 

So finally sitting down with a coffee and having some me time before I have to cook tea.

sorry to hear that mum took out her frustration on you @Snowie, i can imagine its hard on mum too but still doesn't excuse the way she's treating you. and that sucks about the cost too, but i guess in the long run, the extra money would be worth it if it meant better treatment and care. hopefully tomorrow's tour is better for you both.

@rav3n I think she will know what to expect tomorrow, so hopefully it all goes a bit better.

I expected the cost (I'd done some research beforehand) Probably should have talked to her about it before we went so she wasn't caught off guard.

I would offer to help pay but got most of our money tied up in things. I don't think she would take the offer anyway.

Oh 'me' time was lovely, but had to get up and cook tea! Cooked chicken pad thai. Did all the prep this morning so didn't take long.
