I’ve been in hospital the past 2 weeks @Sans911 but starting to feel a bit better.

oh that's not so good, over Christmas and all. @Eve7 

I have just had a long holiday, partly overseas, with my mother and sister. We went to New Zealand, which was just beautiful. Mum got covid on the last days of the cruise, and I likely had it too, but didn't get tested. Some parts of the holiday were quite stressful (family and person dynamics). I have been home for about two weeks, and I am slowly getting back to routines, tidying my little unit, and caring for my gardens.

Christmas was very low-key for me. New Year will be even less- in fact nothing planned at all. Sometimes I like it like this, sometimes I wouldn't mind having more friends and things to do.

Your cruise sounds lovely. I think NZ is a beautiful country. Your poor mum getting Covid at the end of her holiday and you too hon.

Im going on The Ghan in May so something to look forward to but my New Year will be very low key in here. Thats my life at present.

Trying to avoid social media now. Stupid me went on FB before. Or should I say bragbook.

People post about how such a great 2024 they've had, all the good parts of it. They never post something that didn't go well. Always looking forward to 2025 and what great things will happen this year.

Myself, if I just get through today then thats an accomplishment 🤦‍♀️
