Re: My Mosaic

Just jet lag for mum and I I think @Jynx  not sure what’s going on with D. There was a new super bug rolling out of China just recently and it had hit the UK just as we left. Hoping D doesn’t have that.
I’ve travelled a lot and never really struggled with jet lag before. But this constant tiredness is horrible. I’m in bed now!

oh yumm that risotto sounds yum!

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow oh lawd between that and the bird flu in USA... yikes!! Fingers crossed she recovers swiftly 🤞

Yay bed!! More lounging about tomorrow I'm guessing? Do you have any markets rapidly approaching to incite panic? 😜

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

Did read elsewhere that D still isn't getting better. Do you think it's just a virus or does it need a Doctors trip?

How is your day going? After your big holiday I'm thinking just being at home is nice!

Re: My Mosaic

I’d say just a virus @Snowie she only has a fever really. But thankfully she is drinking and has eaten a bag of popcorn this afternoon.

I’ve pretty much spent the day in bed with D. Did pop down to the shops briefly for a few things. But been watching tv all arvo. Tired still. But need to get back to a routine tomorrow I think. But yeah being home is nice. Still have things to put away

SW said she would call today. Had been hanging out for a chat with her. But she didn’t call 😩 I know all sorts could of happened, but feeling heaps disappointed

how’s your day been?

Re: My Mosaic

Hopefully it is just a virus then @Bow and can recover from it quickly. I guess at least she is not missing school.

No doubt you are still tired hon. Jet lag can last for days. I'm sure in the next few days you can slowly get back to a normal routine. No rush really.

I'm sorry about your SW. It's hard when they say they will ring and then don't. You come to rely on those calls, especially since it's been awhile since you spoke to them.

Been a quiet day here. Went to the supermarket this morning and then had a nap this afternoon. Been a prn day.

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah hopefully she is better real soon @Snowie  temp still up tonight, so have dosed her up on meds.

I’ve never really had jetlag before. Not that I remember anyways. It’s just the constant tiredness, but with D sick, I guess it’s no real big issue

it’s just hard when they say they will do something and they don’t. It makes it harder to trust. And I just need the extra contact and support at the moment. If she even remembers…. My old SW would.

sorry its been a bit of a rough day hon and you’ve had to rely on prn. Do you have much on this week?

Re: My Mosaic

Hopefully she does feel better soon @Bow

You packed so much into when you were away that it might all be catching up with you hon.

Have you got an easy week coming up?

That extra contact and support would be good hon. Hoping that they get in contact with you tomorrow.

Got a few things on this week. Mum's got two appointments about her Alzheimer's that I have to take her to and pdoc is finally back from holidays. H's b'day is next weekend so have to get him something to.

Re: My Mosaic

I don’t really have much on this week @Snowie  I have my arts and craft group Wednesday if I decide to go. And my psychologist on Thursday. That’s it so far.

Whatcha gonna get hubby?

Re: My Mosaic

That good about your psych on Thursday @Bow Fingers crossed you hear from your SW tomorrow.

Not sure what I'll get hubby. Should of thought about it earlier and ordered it online. Now I'll have to go to the shops 🤦‍♀️

Anyway, will say goodnight hon. Still tired here so time for bed.

I hope you get some sleep tonight and D feels better in the morning.

Talk soon xoxo

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Snowie  hope you got some good sleep? And today is going ok?

we had a rough night with my daughter. I put her to bed at 7:30 I think and went to bed myself too. Mum said she would check on her before she went to bed. Mum came

in and woke me at 11:30 I think it was… saying D’s temp was still up, she had been sick and was delusional. Mum was heaps concerned I think. I was out to it cause I’d taken my meds. I struggle when I get up in the middle of the night cause they knock me out and I was concerned about the possibility of having to take D down to the hospital. Anyways, managed to get up and went and sat with D for a bit. She was like this previously and I did take her down to the hospital and they ran some tests and did nothing. Was just a virus. So decided to bring her down to my room where I could keep a closer eye on her and put the AC on to keep her cool. Her temp was a bit high again at 1:30 and then fine when we woke at 7am. But it was back up again at 10:30am. So continuing to keep an eye on her, but she is much better when she is dosed up on meds.

I went and got the groceries this morning. The fridge and cupboards were a bit bare. And I had planned for today to be the day that I would get back into a routine and get on the treadmill, but I’m a bit tired. So I will aim for tomorrow! We averaged 20k steps each day while away!
