Oh no @Bow whatever shall you do!! 🤣

Yeah pretty chill! Which is what I wanted! I ended up spending xmas hanging w my besite and then watched Krampus with my partner and their fiance! NYE my other partner invited me to a picnic in the park! Very wholesome, only a little bit eaten by mozzies!!

Where were you for NYE, somewhere with many big sparkles I hope?

Re: My Mosaic

Oh your Christmas and NY sounds nice @Jynx! Picnic in the park in particular!

we were in the UK for Christmas. 4hrs north west of london where my step dads was from. We didn’t really know what we were going to do for Christmas Day as we were meeting his family the days prior and kinda hoping that we would spend Christmas Day with them, but no! lol we tried to book into a pub but totally booked out. so we shopped for Christmas Day supplies on Christmas Eve. It was rather chaotic indeed. We cut back and just did the basics. But then I was up vomiting Christmas Eve 😩 so Christmas Day was very chilled. We were planning to go to church, beautiful old cathedral. But I wasn’t up to it. We watched heaps more of Christmas movies and had Christmas dinner instead of our usual Christmas lunch. I also went on the hunt for a chemist that was open! Oh and we went and scattered my step dad’s ashes along the River that ran through the town.

we spent a bit of time with his family, they were lovely. His sister…. Looked so much like him I couldn’t stop staring at her! We heard lots of his childhood and how and why he came to aus. One of his brothers was super kind to my D, chatted with her, took an interest in what she was into and gave her a heap of cash!

I drove in the UK too, when we went up there for Christmas and then over to

windsor which we are so thankful we made the decision to do so cause it would of be a lot of horrible lugging of suitcases. I was super anxious about driving but it was a breeze. We got an upgrade to a brand new car! It had 11kms on it. Hybrid, so fancy with heaps of modern technology which took a while to get use to. The inbuilt gps was so helpful. No way I’d wanna drive in Paris though!!

NY we were back in London Town. But we had read and heard that all viewing places were ticketed and the fire works only let off in one spot along the Thames (why I have no idea???!) so we stayed in. Had some food and then went to bed early!
We were up early NYs day to go do stuff and the streets were weirdly quiet…. But people were out later on and the shops and streets buzzing again.

@Snowie  just tagging you too 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

@Snowie  It was a little easier given that they drive on the same side of the road and you sit on the same side. The round abouts were the hardest, so many lanes.

Yes @rav3n  we had a really good trip. No white Christmas though 😞 a few flurries of snow in Paris and that was it. Cold though!

Re: My Mosaic

I guess that does make it a little easier @Bow

I remember when we went to USA. Hubby drove. I think I would have crashed!!
