Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Shaz51 and @Gremlin24, sounds like you're both having a stressful time.  We have to have them sometimes, they're never pleasant but they're part of life.  Just remember, when you go to sleep tonight you'll go "I got through that; that's a win!". Our conductor at Collegium Musicum always says to "Abner, celebrate your wins and victories.". So put your feet up with a nice cup of tea or coffee... you've earnt it.  "Ihr habt daß gewannt" is how they say "you've (both) won that." in German.  I've returned to my German studies, which I started at Uni in the late 1980s, and I'm also studying Norwegian, "Jeg lærer norsk også."  Which means "I'm learning Norwegian also."

Re: Share a cuppa?

Your conductor is very wise @Abner

How are you going

Cuppa time to 😊

Re: Share a cuppa?

Det går greit med jeg hva med deg? I just said "It's going great with me, and you?" in Norwegian. I love music, languages and cats @Shaz51. Speaking of which I've just done my cats 'litter boxes and then had lunch.

Re: Share a cuppa?

I also just finished practising some music for church tomorrow @Shsz51, it's quite easy music on the trumpet. I also bought myself a new trumpet last week. The lacquer on my very beautiful Conn trumpet is now fading fast, I'll try and get it relacquered and then give it to someone who wants to start learning the trumpets, it'll cost quite a lot, but I still think she should be played eventhough she in her senior years. She has a lot of beauty and wisdom to share with someone starting their musical journey.

Re: Share a cuppa?

That's great @Abner

Is Denmark and Austria languages similar to German?

I have Denmark in my family line

@Abner @Shaz51

King Hans Von Oldenburg of Denmark, Norway and Sweden is one of my ancestors

Re: Share a cuppa?

Austrian German is very similar to German. Danish is more closely related to Norwegian and Icelandic, eventhough, as far as I know, all the Germanic languages have their origins in Norway.
