@PeppyPatti it's so frustrating. I'm reading messages over and over again and still not able to process all the information. Hope you can make some progress soon.

Gah!
I'm neurodiverse but not autistic... not ADHD... my brain became that way through trauma...
Now there's a national autism plan to help the neurodiverse...
Why can't they see that neurodiversity is more than just autism!
I want to whack some politicians over the head with the DSM-5...

Yes baby steps. You could ring the tafe and ask them what you are supposed to do next. Make sure that you go to orientation as you will get a lot of information then. You will probably need to get a student card and set up a portal on the computer
yesterday
I did call the Tafe but the lady on the switchboard was telling me she usually works for disability and she was telling me all this information. I just listened to her, got transferred and got the enrollment info sent to me.
Do I remember anything ?
No.
But I filled out information and sent it in.

@PeppyPatti congrats on getting accepted into TAFE!! totally okay if you need some time to process it all, little steps is the way to go 💛
@Gremlin24 that's fair. personally i've found that understanding 'why' i react or feel a certain way helps me process things better, and also calm myself down a bit faster. i think that's why i enjoy journalling to self-soothe. do you like journalling?
yesterday
This is what I'm doing.
Would you do one thing tomorrow ?
Would you like to make an appointment with a support person like your Doctor or family member / friend ?
yesterday
@rav3n I've never been one for journalling, I used to write poems but haven't done that for many years now.
yesterday
@PeppyPatti i have an appointment booked with my doctor on Monday. I don't have a support worker or any family or friends.

I began getting my support system about 10 years ago. It was tough.
1 I changed my GP.
2. I began listening to this guided meditation. It was very hard to listen to I could only listen to about 2-5 mins per week.

But I got silver chain from my Doctor to clean my unit once a fortnight but I didn't have the confidence for her to clean. I made her drink coffee with me.
But I listened to this guided meditation once a week to 5 times a week.

I would sit in my car and listen to it.
I was cleaning houses to make money.
I asked two ' friends ' iv known for years but we never ever saw each other if we could see each other once per year for our Birthday. Today it's a very joyful day. We have actually been doing it for 15 years so we started that 5 years before but I was very lonely. We 3 look forward to it.
Does this give you any ideas ?

@PeppyPatti thankyou for sharing. I'm so glad you found something that helped you. I might have a look at the videos later. Right now I can't focus on anything.
