@Jynx @Shaz51 @rav3n @Snowie

mix of emotions tonight.  Need to talk

Phone call late this afternoon from my current gp, she’s referring me to see haematogist.  Saw her on Friday and felt good about the prospect of the referral.  This afternoon all the scary thoughts hit and so did the tears.

outcome of blood tests since at least 2016 show I’m neutropenic.  In all this years not one gp from practice where I used to go referred me to specialist for investigation.  I know there are lots of possible causes.  Don’t want my cats to outlive me.  Don’t care about me …my fur babies would not understand where I have gone. 😢. Feel so scared and alone

Re: Best Friends Club

Oh my stars @Patches59 yes no wonder you are feeling it tonight, that's so heavy! Wow it is absurd that it's taken almost 9 years to refer you to a specialist? Yikes!

I am sorry that this is happening for you friend. We will be here for you wherever the journey may lead 💜

Re: Best Friends Club

awh so sorry to hear @Patches59, i can see how scary this must be for you, we're sitting with you 💗

really hope the haematologist visit goes well, the not knowing part can be hard & i'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes well for you.

Re: Best Friends Club

@Patches59

I have the same problem. Saw a haematologist and they were on the verge of doing a bone marrow biopsy (forget what its called). They did another blood test and my levels popped back up by themselves. My levels still go up and down but my haematologist said it’s not a concern unless under 100 and my GP had said it can be half that. Just seems that this is the way I am. Try not to worry it might be nothing serious to worry about. The haematologist will ask you a range of questions to rule things out. They are very thorough

Re: Best Friends Club

hey @Oaktree, I understand that feeling. I have been feeling the same way.

I have been asked to come do some volunteer work with a church organisation where my brother works, his boss is encouraging me but trying to explain how hard it is to get up and get motivated in the mornings lately is proving difficult. While the manager is understanding, she doesn't have mental health issues.

Is there anything that helps you lift your mood?

Do you feel better that you did have moments of happiness even though you experienced trauma?
I hope it does.

We all need to look for the sun on a cloudy day don't we? I just wish it was easier for you, and all of us with mental differences.

Much love and hugs my friend 😍💝💐

Re: Best Friends Club

Thanks @ENKELI

I hope you find some motivation soon

Re: Best Friends Club

@Glisten and my favourite Dr Who!

When Peter Davison was playing the Dr, he came to Perth and did a signing in town. Mum got a book signed for my brother and I. I thought, mm yeah whatever but my brother was pretty chuffed.

How are you my favourite G? Still no news on the toofies front, I told them I'll wait for my dentist to come back, unfortunately it's a financial issue as I don't have the money for additional visits as well as Dr and medications I need to get.

Deep breath. This too shall pass. Or so they tell me.

Hugs Tomaatii 🍅

Re: Best Friends Club

@Patches59 I am hoping and praying that your neutropenia can be managed. I have haemachromotosis which is too much iron in my blood and at one stage had to give blood on a weekly basis.

Like you, I worry about my cat and what would happen to him. My friend who is a crazy cat mumma of 8 kitties said she is going to put in her will that funds be made available for her cats until they cross the rainbow bridge. It's something we both have thought about. My cat has been a God send, he truly has become my emotional support animal.

Please keep us updated on your progress. In the meantime I hope you don't mind if I put you on my prayer list 🙏❤️
