Hi @ChouxieChou
I am not currently studying but I have been a mature age uni student several times. I would recommend you use the supports that the uni offers. Whether that be academic support or psychological support. Don’t be afraid to put your hand up. Often they have an office where you can register to get special consideration for your illness. This may give you extra time on assignments or special exam conditions.

Argh. It’s really hard. I’m not disabled (but I’m incapable of doing the work) I feel like I’m time wasting or stealing and because I’m so good at my job, I should just be able to pull up my socks and knuckle down.

Hi Stout
thank you so much for all your help. Very helpful.
no I’m not great atm unfortunately. I was doing much better but it’s unfortunate how sometimes just something can set you back. I’m dealing with it better not sinking completely. But still not in a great place. I just have to stay strong for my daughter. Very hard though.
thank you.
hope you are well.

I am really glad that you are here.
When my daughter was 15 I was very important to her. Now not so much! Her friends seem to be all important now… that’s ok it’s all part of growing up I guess. When she has kids she will need her Mum again. It’s kinda hard and painful to let them go

Hi
thank you for reaching out it means a lot. My daughter is my whole world. I don’t have the best marriage we are like flatmates that fight a lot. He can be extremely mean and hurtful and it is what can spin me into a downward spiral which is what’s just happened with cruel things he says.
now I’m trying to cope with my daughter growing and leaving me behind. Plus my illness.its all just to much sometimes. I feel so lonely sometimes. I guess I’m not the only one though.
anyway thank you for reaching out I really appreciate a friendly word. I hope you are good thank you for the daughter advice.
