My ex just contacted me after ghosting me for eight weeks. I'm relieved more than anything. I had thought he had gone silent, never to be heard from again.
He want to be friends and offer support to me, within those boundaries.
I am resisting the impulse to respond until I've crafted my words carefully.
I think I will offer him a phone call next week, Monday or Tuesday.
I need time and space to process this development.

@Spirit_Healer I am glad this new development brings you relief. Perhaps your ex needed time to process and think about how to approach you. I think taking your time to think about how you want this relationship to continue as friends is very wise. Be opened and true to the level that feels right to you. Sending you hugs 🫂 🤗 ❤️

Aye good idea to take your time to process @Spirit_Healer so you can allow space for the big emotions (and not accidentally pour them out onto him... which I have done... many times 😅). How are you feeling? I imagine it's a mixed bag hey, like yay you heard from him! But oh... not an ideal response...

Hello @Spirit_Healer I read your story. You sound so powerful and so strong. Your post was very inspirational. I can see that you could've been bogged down in despair, but you didn't - you rose to the challenge, rode out the wave and moved on. Amazing.

@Spirit_Healer I think it's great that you've decided to take some time before responding. I think if it was me, i'd at least want to know why the ghosting. He owes you that closure at the very least. You can hear him out and then decide how you want to proceed.
I must admit, after ghosting you for 2 months, I would have just assumed you'd never hear from him again. He may have his own 'valid' reason for what he did, but i still think it's important that he knows how much it hurt you. Maybe he knows that and it's why he's contacted you.

Hey I just saw your message @Spirit_Healer
I get the need for time and space to process this. There was just a complete break for several weeks right ....
I think your plan to wait until next week is a good one. It gives you time to think About life.......
Personally, in my eyes it takes lot to be friends after having feelings for him ....
And it takes a very long time to be friends after having a love relationship.
But everyone's different
Maybe try writing down how you're feeling right now. Better out on paper than in your head going round in. Circles ? or you could write it here as well ?!
