Quietly sitting with you @Appleblossom . Listening and caring.
I'm reminded of Donna William's book Nobody Nowhere. I wonder if you can write. It may be incoherent and episodic at first and it may be difficult. But perhaps it could honour your family, both the generations before and your generation, and help the young ones, and bring you some peace or even a degree of closure on some chapters if you wish - not to deny them, but by bringing them to light so they can inform how you and the young ones choose to move on.
Peace and every good - Pax et Bonum.

One day.... maybe next year... Might be a time for writing.... again. I needed to get connected socially.... To ensure I didn't leave....
Thanks for not rejecting me. @Dimity I don't really want to complain. I know you are vulnerable but our friendship matters to me.

When I joined the forum another poster mentioned a wonderful art website… can’t remember the name… of the poster or the website… but I found it really helpful to look at art and share on the forums. That website did close down, but I found that I still had all the pics in my Sane profile album. Yay for some aspects of tek…. So I thought I would revisit them. It lifts my mood.
That last pic is from the Dutch Golden Age of art and reminds me of my Dutch grandfather who loved his eggs. @rav3n
After grandmother died, at the end of his life I was on a roster feeding him….he wasn’t perfect…. Nobody is….it is what makes us human….but I believe he did the best with what he had… he was in the WWII camps but taught me not to be racist agin Germans…. That was a good legacy… he was a bit rigid though, and limited educationally… sadly he fell out with my father over the DLP/ALP split which is why dad went walkabout with us and we ended in orphanages when I was 6. It has taken me a while to piece together some sort of coherent narrative …. Though all the death and mental illness.
My family’s limitations make sense in the big picture…. If I look beyond the harsh judgmental language in my official files. So in a narrative therapy model I am thickening the narrative….not many people can cope with the Big S words… schizophrenia and suicide…. I do encourage Sane to be more open minded about diagnostic labels…and their limitations.
thanks for being part of my healing journey..
@Shaz51 @Jynx @Dimity @Till23 @rav3n @tyme @Zoe7 @Faith-and-Hope @Snowie @Eve7 and all…

Love the pictures @Appleblossom .
Back in the day I came across idea of "rich narrative".
I reckon life's tapestry is complex and multilayered.
Pax et Bonum. The phrase seems to resonate for me atm. Go well.
