Peer Group Chat // Healing from Invalidation// Thursday the 30th of June 2022 7-8:30pm AEST

Hello, forumites!

Our upcoming Peer Group Chat will be held on Thursday the 30th of June 2022 at 7:00 – 8:30PM (AEST)! We will be exploring the topic of Healing from Invalidation.

A bit about the group:

Invalidation is a form of trauma that involves the act of rejecting, judging, or ignoring a person’s thoughts, feelings, and emotions as being valid and understandable. The impact of invalidation may require - for some people - ongoing work to rebuild self-esteem, trust, and self-identity. Let us come together to share our thoughts and experiences surrounding healing from invalidation.

Hi @LittleSteps @Jynx how does it work please?

Re: Peer Group Chat // Healing from Invalidation// Thursday the 30th of June 2022 7-8:30pm AEST

@petrichor ,

Great question! I'm glad you reached out. This peer group chat runs weekly and is run on a separate platform to the forums.

You access this Chatwee platform on https://www.sane.org/peer-support/peer-group-chat

Then, you register for an account.

It has finished for tonight, but you are more than welcome to connect next week (Thursday) 7-8:30pm AEST.

Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. You can also read past chat transcripts here https://www.sane.org/peer-support/peer-group-chat/previous-chats

The transcript for tonight's chat may take a few days to upload to this link.

All the best,

tyme
