Re: Peer Group Chat // Grappling Grief // Thursday 2nd May 2024, 7-8:30PM AEST
Hi Tyme, I’d love if you could tag me. Was very excited to join tonight but completely slipped my mind until 8:50pm 😕 I lost my father a few years ago so grief is a prominent part of my MH journey

Hey @Rockdog ,
All good. We are not having this particular topic any time soon, but we hold Peer Group Chats every Thursday 7-8:30pm AEST. Out next topic (next week) is Responding to Rejection, I believe.

Hi @tyme ,
That sounds helpful, I will try and remember. Not for my situation because I haven’t been rejected yet right? But does happen a lot, and I don’t know why.

Re: Peer Group Chat // Grappling Grief // Thursday 2nd May 2024, 7-8:30PM AEST
Thank you @survivor19 , I will definitely tag you.
I'm sorry to hear about your father. It must have been very difficult.
Grief is such a personal process. Each person is unique in how they process grief, and there's not right or wrong way to do it.
But I feel it is important to have the space to talk about what people experience after a loss. During the chat, we talked about different types of loss including the loss of a loved one, loss of a pet, loss of a life, loss of living, loss of identity, loss of independence.
These are all types of losses that no one is immune to.
Being about to openly talk about grief and loss reminds us we are human and is something that can bring us together.
Hope to see you around @survivor19 .

Hi @tyme How you doing?
Thank you for fascinating the PG Chat last night.
@Shaz51 thoughts of you keep popping into my head.
I fly to NSW on 6am Thursday. I feel undone, unprepared, generally unattractive. My mom was an absolute Betty. Ridiculously beautiful, like Hollywood beautiful. Tall elegant. And my dad looked like Errol Flynn.
I’m feeling very average.

Awwww @Glisten .
I'm thinking of you. Holding you close to my heart.
I'll fly out with you.
You may feel unattractive, unprepared and undone, but know that we still love you as you are.
Hugs.
