Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

@Determined@Shaz51@Former-Member....

Gastro recovery is progressing, slow, but steady. I cooked a "real" meal tonight for the first time since Christmas. Tuna mornay and rice. Felt a little odd in the tummy after eating it, but I need to start getting some real food into me. Hubby ditto.

Discovered while making it that a bag of carrots had gone off while I was unwell. Hate wasting food. Smiley Frustrated Oh well, the worm farm got a carotene supplement.

We're a little on "remote watch" with Older Daughter. She's getting the urge to SH again. I'm trying to persuade her to find other things to fill her mind with. Happy relaxing stuff instead of things that feed the impulse. I don't know that she's confident of doing so. Will see how the next day or two pans out.

Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

Older Daughter SH today. She's damaged a tendon this time. Seen a specialist, he won't know for sure how much damage until she gets surgery for it on Thursday. Doesn't seem to be critical damage, but that one will take a while to heal. She's had a patch up job plus a plaster splint to get her through until then.

Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

Extra prayers here for you and family.

@Smc thinking of you.

How is daughter getting along?

Hope all is as well as it can be.

Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

@Determined, she's getting tendon repair surgery tomorrow morning. We need to be at the hospital by 7:00 am, so we're heading to bed, and hoping we'll sleep soundly.

Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

Oh @Smc 😢

Missed your earlier message

Thinking especially of you today.

Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

Thinking of you today @Smc

Hope daughters  surgery is successful.

Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

@Determined, @Former-Member, surgery was successful but oooh what a long day...

We were told to bring her in at 7:00, but she didn't go into surgery until 11:30. We went off to have lunch, having been told she'd be out sometime around 1:30-2:00 and they'd ring us then to come back. When we hadn't gotten a phonecall by 2:30 we went back anyway- she was out but very groggy so they were planning on ringing us when she was closer to awake. They ended up discharging her 6-ish and still somewhat groggy, but I think as good as she was going to get. She's home with her brother now, we all ate dinner there so we know she's got some food in her system. She's in pain, but should heal up OK. They repaired minor damage to two tendons and an artery.

Am very tired now and looking forward to sleep. May it be deep and uninterrupted!
